“But does this match?”
This question has always bothered me. The tendency for people to feel like everything in an outfit needs to match, is quite simply, a thing of the past. Which is precisely why I’m so ecstatic about the emerging trend of mixing contrasting patterns and prints
I first spotted the trend on the streets of NYC this past fall, as ultra-chic Fashionista’s strutted with confidence in vibrant floral print skirts and striped tops. I instantly fell in love with the idea and could not wait until I could experiment with my own wardrobe at home.
A word to the wise: In order to avoid looking like you dressed yourself in the dark, try patterns and prints that have similar color palettes, this will help to create a softer overall aesthetic.
The pictures below do a fine job of illustrating how to make this trend work for you!
Enjoy...Happy Tuesday:)
